Win 10 Creators Edition issue with npatcli71.dll

   After upgrading some tablets to Windows 10 Creators Edition, our developers reported the following issue with npatcli71.dll faulting.

Here are the details as provided to me:

The AccuTerm plugin works fine in IE, and it works fine in our "wrapper" after our tweak. It also works fine on any version of Windows other than the latest. But it looks like there is an underlying bug in npatcli71.dll, so here's how to recreate it:

1.     Run Windows 10, build 15063 / 1703
2.     Create a WPF application and include a <WebBrowser> element
3.     Set the "source" attribute of the WebBrowser in xaml to a URL which loads the AccuTerm plugin
4.     In the .xaml.cs, also set the "source" attribute of the WebBrowser element. It can be the same URL as #3.
5.     Launch the app.

On launch, the app crashes with this error:
