I am using Accuterm with QM and am just now starting to use Accuterm Mobile.  Is there any way for QM to determine whether I'm accessing the system from Accuterm (regular) or AccuTerm mobile?  I would like to disable certain functions in our system if they are coming from Accuterm mobile.

Hi Steve -

Beginning with version 7.2.6 (2/11/2015) of the host programs, you can use FTVSINF to determine whether the client is running the mobile or standard version of AccuTerm. Upon return, the PRODUCT argument will be set to 10 if running mobile.

Thanks,

Pete

Looks like everyone here is running 7.1c.  When I "check for updates" it says
"Product: AccuTerm 7 Standard
Your Release: 7.1c (7.1.2014)
New Release: 7.1c sp2 (7.1.2025)"

Is there something extra I need to do to get 7.2.6?

Hi Steve -

7.2.6 is the version of the host programs, not the version of AccuTerm. Sorry for the confusion. AccuTerm release 7.1c ships with host program version 7.2.5. The current host program version is 7.2.14, and you can access that from the downloads page on the AccuTerm support site: http://www.zumasys.com/products/accuterm/support/download/" rel="nofollow - http://www.zumasys.com/products/accuterm/support/download/ Download the new host program installer from the link and run the installer. This will update the programs in PickBP directory of your current AccuTerm installation. Then use MultiValue -> Host Programs -> Update to install the updated programs on QM.

Thanks,

Pete

Thank you.  That worked great!  I even downloaded the latest user manuals, etc. while I was at it.

Here's another related question.  I've adapted a number of programs to call subroutines in the SAMPLES file, especially ones that produce a Windows dialog box.  Now that I'm allowing people to use the mobile app I'm finding that they naturally don't work.  Would it be a good idea to slow down with those until I can start including the test for Accuterm mobile which would cause the program to use a more traditional method of display?
