We are transferring data from a D3 multivalue database.   The data is transferred to an Excel spreadsheet  and the values in row 1 are being replaced with col1,  col2 col3  for excell cells a1 , a2, a3.
Version of AccuTerm 7.0d sp2 (7.0.1412).

Hi Alex -

There is an option in FTD (or FTEXPORT) to enable or disable the first row of the worksheet as a heading row. If you disable this you should see the first row of data on the first row of the worksheet. Otherwise the first data row would be on the second row of the worksheet.

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,

Thanks.

The problem we have is some PC are having row data replaced by "Col1'.    Process has been running for years & recently we have some PC's having the problem.

The D3 data to be transferred to excel:

0001                   21487
0002                   For NEW MOTOR VEHICLE
0003                   NEW
0004                   N
0005                   GOVERNMENT
0006                   BRISBANE ISUZU
0007                   26 KERRY ROAD
0008                   ARCHERFIELD  4108

The Excel s/sheet finishes with:
Col1 Col2
For NEW MOTOR VEHICLE
NEW
N
GOVERNMENT
BRISBANE ISUZU
26 KERRY ROAD
ARCHERFIELD  4108

One PC window7 is Ok,  a 2nd PC using WIndows 10 has the 'Col1' being inserted.

Hi Alex -

First thing - update your version of AccuTerm to 7.1c-sp2 (the current release). You will probably see an error when you do the transfer. Normally, AccuTerm uses Automation with Excel to convert the text data from D3 into an Excel worksheet. But if Excel is not installed, there is a fallback converter that attempts to do the conversion. Its quite old and unreliable. The current version of AccuTerm will return an error from Excel if Excel is installed instead of using the fallback. Once you see the error, it will probably help sort out the solution.

Thanks,

Pete
