Is there a way to disable the "Network Connection Timed Out" popup box from appearing on a failed or lost connection? The display comm errors feature has no effect on this. Thanks.

Hi -

I was surprised that when "display comm errors" is unchecked that the timeout error still pops up. Actually, any fatal network error will show in the popup window. I will see about fixing this in the upcoming 5.2 release of AccuTerm 2K2.

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,
Is there a way of getting around that somehow in a script by sending a return character or something else if that box appears so it gets cleared from the screen. Also, we are running Accuterm 2000 and not planning to upgrade right away. Could u make a patch available if necessary? Thanks.

Hi -

It is impossible to patch AccuTerm 2000 to accomplish this. It might be possible to use SendMessage (API call) to close the window if you were able to find it. You may be able to use the FindWindow API call to find it, but it would be tricky.

The 5.2 release is nearly ready for release - probably by April 1, 2004, so this is probably the best solution.

Thanks,

Pete

Is there somewhere I can find some examples of FindWindow and SendMessage? Thanks
