This is on Linux using Accuterm 7 on top of Wine.  The dinky PC devices (atomic pi) are going to replace Esprit and other network terminals that boot and start a nailed telnet session.  I get this far: PC device boots, logs into the default user and starts Accuterm 7.  How do I tell Accuterm when it starts to launch a specific actf?  On my test Lubuntu desktop  it is called d3port12.  If I double click on the item it works and Accuterm starts on port 12.  The bash command that is launched at startup is #wine "C:\Program Files (86)\Atwin71\atwin71.exe".  I want it to launch (path to Accuterm connections)\d3port12.  It's probably laughable easy but it is eluding me right now.  Any help will be great.  Thanks.

Hi Steven - I have not used wine for a while, so not sure if this will work in wine. But in Windows, you can append a file name to the command line, and AccuTerm will open that files when it starts:

"C:\Program Files (86)\Atwin71\atwin71.exe" "C:\AccuTerm Files\startup.atsc"

Then you need to create the startup.atsc script. Here's a link to a topic that shows how to record a macro and then convert it into a script: http://https://forum.asent.com/topic1015.html

Thanks, Pete

Pete, you got it, though there was no need to even do a macro or a script inside Accuterm.  This works from a terminal shell command line:

$ wine "C:\Program Files (86)\Atwin71\atwin71.exe" "C:\users\lubuntu\My Documents\TCS\AccuTerm Settings\d3port12.atcf"

I put that directly into the session settings for startup apps as Accuterm and I have what I want.  The atomic pi unit powers on and 45 seconds later is connected to the MV database on the specified nailed telnet port.  Users won't have to know anything about anything.  Just like having an old-school dumb terminal. Which is perfect.  Many thanks.
