    Posted: September 21 2017 at 7:46am
Hello:

WED hangs when compiling a program where the existing local cataloged program has a different pathname than it did before compiling. QM is asking the WED editor if it wants to continue, but that message is not being relayed to the user. So it gives the appearance of a crash/hang.

I have verified that my Host Type in Accuterm is QM. I can't find any references to this issue elsewhere so perhaps I am doing something (configured something) wrong?

This is what QM is asking:

Existing local catalogue entry has different pathname. Continue?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Jay -

For QM, you need to add the "NO.QUERY" option to the compiler command in the wED settings. The compiler command is in Tools -> Settings -> Tools.

Thanks,

Pete

Thanks Pete:

The solution you posted does keep WED from being non-responsive. However, the NO.QUERY option isn't something I want turned on all the time. Could I request that a future version of WED detect information requested from the host and pass it on to the user in a dialog box of some kind? And the return the users answer to the host. The NO.QUERY option turns off a fail-safe that I find useful.

Something like "The host is responding with the following Please type your answer below:"

Thanks Much
