    Posted: January 27 2017 at 2:17pm

I’m trying to set up a custom Accuterm session for general users. I’d like to make everything in the menu bar disabled and not visible.  I’ve gone through the Menu Designer and unchecked all ‘Enabled’, ‘Visible’, and ‘Begin Group’ checkboxes in there (all 123 places).

I’ve mostly got the desired effect.  However, the icons for ‘Start the wED Editor’ and ‘Start the GUI Designer’ remain accessible in the tool bar.  Is there a way to remove (or at least disable) these icons completely?

Thanks.  David

Hi David -

Instead of disabling or hiding the toolbar buttons, just delete them. The enable and visible state of some of the menu items are adjusted depending on the state of AccuTerm. For example, the Copy button is disabled unless something on the screen is selected. If you delete the button or menu item, it cannot be added back unless you restore the original menu.

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,
Just a quick note to say 'thanks', and especially for the quick response!  I was able to try this out today, and your advice worked great!
Thanks.  David
