I have a D3 client with nailed ports. For one reason or another, sometimes the nailed ports are not available. (Yes, as time permits I'll work with them to un-nail the ports but they have specific port#s linked to specific users and thus into app functionality - Ugh!)

I got tired of manually guessing at which port might be available so I wrote a script that increments the socket port# until I get a connection. That works fine, but with each attempt the "network connection refused" dialog displays with options to Reconnect, Close, Cancel, Info.

Once I finally get a connection, how can I get the script to remove this dialog? Or, how can I suppress that at the start of the script so that I can replace it with my own that says something like "Looking for a free port..." ?

Thanks!
