Topic: how do i switch to 132 columnsPosted: August 09 2005 at 4:43am |

We've been using Link terminals in Viewpoint emulation. When I try the A2 emulation in Accuterm and send "ESC~;" to switch to 132 column mode, my emulation switches to vt100.
Can I use control codes to switch back & forth between 79 and 132 column modes? |

Hi Bruce -
The real Viewpoint A2 terminal does not support 132 columns. I'm not sure why Link used ESC~; for this feature, but Wyse uses the ESC~ escape sequences to change term types. When you select the Viewpoint A2 Enhanced terminal type in AccuTerm, you basically get a hybrid of Wyse 50 and Viewpoint A2, and the Wyse escape sequence for 132 columns works fine: ESC`; to change back to 80 columns, use ESC`: (the quote in these escape sequences is the backwards quote, usually above the TAB key on the PC keyboard). Thanks, Pete |
