We use Accuterm 2k2 version 5.2A to connect via a digiboard with a SCO Unix Server running an industry specific application. I need to transfer a file from the SCO Box to my local hard drive so that I can then import the data into a windows program for analysis. I don't know if this can be done with just Accuterm or if I need another piece of software also. I am much more of a Windows person than I am a UNIX person so I do not clearly understand all of the Unix gotchas. Any help you can be is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi acal -
AccuTerm supports generic Kermit file transfers, and you may already have Kermit on the SCO machine. You just need to coordiante the two processes - start the 'send' on the Unix side, then start the 'receive' on the AccuTerm side. Use Tools->Download->Manual Download in AccuTerm to start the 'receive' process. If this is going to be a regular task, you might be able to write a small shell script on SCO to automate the process. You can send an escape sequence to AccuTerm to initiate the receive process. Thanks, Pete |
