Topic: Wyse 60 Graphics ModePosted: November 10 2013 at 8:30am |

Somewhere between version 7.0c and version 7.1a of AccuTerm, there was a shift with how AccuTerm appears to handle the line graphics mode on Wyse 60 terminal emulations.
We have been using a 4GL application, Cuebic, to design application screens. A feature of this product includes the ability to draw line graphics by invoking the line graphics mode via ESC H STX for Wyse-60, and then using the arrow keys to draw lines and boxes around various parts of the screen. Various alpha keys controlled the options available while the line graphics mode is active in Cuebic's graphical editor. In older versions of AccuTerm, input of any alphanumeric or symbol characters while line graphics mode is active returned the ASCII character that was pressed. However, now an input of any alphanumeric or symbol character returns an ASCII 95 (underscore) character instead. Luckily, we have the source to Cuebic, and was able to code an ESC to kick it out of line graphics mode, but am wondering why the change to the Wyse-60 emulation. |

Hi David -
Looks like this is a casualty of Unicode support, added in release 7.1. The keyboard should produce the same codes as before, even in line-draw mode. Will have it fixed in the next update. Thanks, Pete |
