Topic: Do you want to disconnect sessionPosted: May 10 2011 at 5:13am |

I'm currently building an installation package, and thought I'd get everything as close to what was wanted - but found that when the user first tries to close Accuterm they're give a pop-up asking whether they want to disconnect the session.
What needs to be changed in the installation to avoid this prompt appearing? |

Hi acmedia-
The disconnect prompt can be disabled by enabling the "NoCloseWarning" option in atwin70.ini, in the [Options] section.
Thanks, Pete |

The manual I'm using has this, and other fields, as being "True" or "False" - so should I change them all to be 1 or 0?

Release 7.0a needs 0 or 1. Release 7.0b and above allow 0/1 or True/False. The settings in atwin70.ini are copied to the user's registry the first time AccuTerm is launched - this is a one time process. If you need to repeat the initialization for testing, you can delete the registry keys HKCU\Software\Asent\atwin70\Settings and the registry value X70 under key HKCU\Software\Asent\atwin70\Control.
Thanks, Pete |

In VARFILES/HOME/atwin70.ini the two settings
NoCloseWarning=True & SingleInstance=False are being ignored. The other parts seem to be ok, just these two. I cold tell users to change the options after the installation, but any ideas why thse two aren't working? |

Hi AC-
I'm not sure why these settings are not working. The way this works is that the atwin70.ini file is copied from VARFILES only is there is no existing atwin70.ini file in the installation directory, or if the one being copied is newer than the existing file. Then, the first time a user runs AccuTerm 7, the registry is queried for these settings (NoCloseWarning, SingleInstance) and if the value is not present in the registry, its initial value is read from atwin70.ini. Also, there is some logic to look for equivalent settings from previously installed versions of AccuTerm and migrate them into the new AccuTerm 7 registry location. You might check the registry hkey_current_user\software\asent and remove that key before installing to see if that is what is causing the problem. Thanks, Pete |
