.net memory error

   We have a .net application which was created in visual studio 2005.  It uses an atemulator COM component which is non-visible to the user.  If this application is run in server 2003, upon close the user gets an application error of:
"The instruction at xxx referenced memory at xxx.  The memory could not be read."

This error occurs after the form closed event.

Has anyone experienced this?  If so, do you know of a fix?
