Pete, I've been using Accuterm97 for many years now with no problems. When I upgraded to 2K2, I started noticing reproducible problems with screen drawing. We're using ASCII graphics and video attributes to create menus, selectors, etc. When a certain menu process is followed, the right half of the screen is redrawn with varying right-shifts in fields. This results in line wrap and barely recognizable screens. I have not been able to determine what is causing the problem, as the same display methods are used for areas where there are no redraw problems. We had this problem in the past under WY60 terminals, but it had to do with RS232 flow control and mis-reported video commands. Can you think of anything to look for? Thanks, Glen |

Yay! I think I found the culprit. It's a wide-character statement in some of the screen headings: ESC:"e1":ESC:"GA":ESC:"e1" If I remove the wide statement all the video displays properly, except for the headings. It worked fine in Accuterm97, but it didn't display large font characters the way that 2K2 does. For now, I'm going to re-assign that variable to null. Glen

Hi Glen -
The current release of AccuTerm 2K2 ignores the ESC:'e1' (character attribute mode on) sequence. AccuTerm's Wyse 60 emulation always assumes character attribute mode. The ESC:'GA' is the double-wide character attribute, which was ignored in AccuTerm 97, but is supported in AccuTerm 2K2, which is why you now see a difference. AccuTerm 2K2 also supports double-high characters, as well as double-high+double-wide characters. Thanks, Pete |
