Topic: Server object WriteItem methodPosted: February 25 2004 at 11:15am |
|
I am trying to use AccuTerm's Server object to write information to our Pick system. I have success using the ReadItem & ReadNext methods but I am having trouble configuring the WriteItem string. I am trying to use this method in a VBA (MS excel) and I get an error when constructing the method string that I need an = sign. I assumed that I might have to use the VB SET method to set a variable equal to the string but this doesn't work. Does anyone know how to construct the string for the WriteItem method? Are there any examples available to view? The example shown in the AccuTerm help file does not help.

The WriteItem method does not return a value, so do not use the "=" sign, and do not enclose the arguments in parentheses.
