I use some standard subroutines to basically do an oconv(iconv()) on the data and then set the field value to the result. I also do validation in the fields by comparing the input to the output (if input ne "" and output eq "" then ERROR).

I Don't see a way to apply an input mask in the GUI screen designer.  For instance.  "99/99/99" or "##/##/##" so that the "/" does not need to be entered?  Does anybody know if this is possible.  And if so, how?
