We have a remote user connecting to our linux box using ssh with accuterm2000. All of a sudden the pc got an error: "SSH requires Microsoft Enhanced Encryption for Internet Explorer (128 bit encryption)."
They reinstalled Accuterm and it will still not respond. The pc is fully patched XPhome. Any suggestions? |

Hi -
Sometimes the key containers used by the crypto libraries in Windows get corrupted. One thing that will reset the key containers is to create a new user. If you cannot do this, you might try installing the evaluation version of AccuTerm 2K2. If it works, then AccuTerm 2000 will probably work too. Just leave the eval version of 2K2 installed but run the licensed version of 2000 (the 2K2 eval will expire after 30 days, but the newer dll that does the ssh connection will work fine with 2000 and will not expire). Thanks, Pete |
