We appear to have a problem with File Transfer settings. I am able to successfully transfer data, but my co-worker is not.
We have a saved list of 21 items, and use FTD to transfer to an Excel (xls) file. My transfers return: Transfer status: Successful transfer. Transferred 21 items, 1061 bytes. My co-worker, however, gets this response: Transfer status: No data to convert. Transferred 21 items, 1061 bytes. We can both transfer the data to a .csv file, although it comes through as a tab-delimited text file. We've compared our AccuTerm 7.1 and Excel 2013 settings, and don't see any applicable differences. Any advice would be appreciated. --Tom Pellitieri - Toledo, Ohio

Hi Tom -
I'm not sure why your co-worker is getting this error, if he has Excel installed on his PC. The error comes from the fallback conversion program that AccuTerm uses when it is unable to open Excel. AccuTerm 7 uses the automation interface in Excel to get Excel to import a text file containing the data you sent and save it as a .xls file. If it is unable to launch Excel it calls a really old conversion program to create the .xls file, which is failing. Thanks, Pete |
