Topic: ATGUI help - Script errorPosted: July 21 2016 at 7:05pm |
|
Hi,
I have run into an issue displaying html help in the ATGUI help component. I have written the help in DokuWiki. In the GUI application, I put the URL to the relevant topic in the help field. This worked fine until a recent "upgrade" of DokuWiki broke things. Specifically, the help component displays a "Script error" that says: "Object doesn't support property or method 'addEventListener'". I'm not the only person to have encountered this as demonstrated by this post on the DokuWiki forum: https://forum.dokuwiki.org/thread/13827 The dialog box can be dismissed and the help then displays without issues - until another page is called. In the AccuTerm forums, we have this thread: http://forum.asent.com/browser-control-issue_topic2182.html The final post here outlines a method to use a later version of IE in the browser (help) control, but making this registry change does not help. Can anyone see any way around this issue (other than going back to an older version of DokuWiki)? Pete: Can a future version of AccuTerm allow html help to be displayed in the client web browser rather than the ATGUI browser control? AccuTerm 7.1c on W7 Professional (client). Thanks, Brian Speirs |

An update on this issue:
There was an upgrade to Dokuwiki last week that solved this issue. It is unclear from the release notes what has changed, but we no longer get the script error. Cheers, Brian ![]() |
