Hi Alfred -
Can you help me duplicate this problem? How do I enter a double-byte character from an English keyboard? I have an XP test system with Asian fonts installed. Thanks, Pete |

Hi Pete,
1. install the "chinese keyboard" - control panel -> regional and Language options -> language -> text services and input language -> details -> add - input language = "chinese taiwan - keyboard layout/ime = "chinese(traditional) -Quick" - remove "chinese US -keyboard" for easy switching 2. left-alt + left shift to activate the chinese input 3. input any 2 letters will show you the "chinese characters" for selection (if nothing show up, it means "no such combination of chinese character") let me know if you need further assist Rgds, Alfred |
