Topic: Minimize to System TrayPosted: June 25 2012 at 3:54am |

Is there any way to run Accuterm from the System Tray? i.e. when minimised the application appears in the system tray and not on the taskbar.
I have written several applications now that all work through the Gui side of Accuterm, with the session minimized. I fact the users never see the terminal prompt even at login. It would be nice to tidy up these application by keeping the accuterm session running from the system tray. Is this possible? Tim

Hi Tim -
Currently there is no way to minimize to the system tray, but I added this to my "wish list". I don't think it would be too difficult to add in a future release. Thanks, Pete |

Hi Peter,
I'm not sure what Accuterm is coded in but the following Codeproject article might help Basically I would go for a Setting to minimise to system tray under the general section. Then do the appropriate steps if set, when the minimze event is triggered. Hope that helps. Tim

In the mean time, I've found a sort of workaround I might try - called TrayIt.
I have issues with this in that it's another package to install and not easy to nail down to just applying to Accuterm. So it won't be suitable for most customers. Thanks Tim
