Topic: A WED featurePosted: February 24 2012 at 3:13pm |

Would be nice to have an area for WED only things.
Anyway, my idea is that when double clicking on a CALL SUBX() would be if either: 1. WED would look at the MD/VOC/etc for a cataloged item named SUBX and load that version if it is not in the same file as the current program. 2. WED would call a hook routine defined similar to the RCS hook. Then we could extended WED to do all sorts of evil things! Another double click idea specific to MVs that allow OOPS, would be to recognize the language features like (object->method) and a double click on the method could make an attempt to resolve the object name by looking at the most recent instantiation call (i.e. object=Object("classname.cls") and load that file and jump to the method. If internal reference like ME->method then just jump to it as if it where a label. Maybe just make a double click in WED call the hook and then all sorts of evildoing can take place!!!! Pass in as much info as is know, like FILE, ITEM, LINE, MOUSE POS, etc. One more feature...a light gray line as a right margin that can be set in the settings dialog. I like mine at 80, but could be changed this way. Thanks for listening.... Marshall |
