We are having a problem that happens a couple of time a day. When we try to save a program the hourglass comes up but never goes away. We end up having to kill the accuterm session. It then leaves the process logged on and we have to go in log the process off. When we go back into the program, more often then not, the files is missing lines. Not just recently added lines. It is missing lines that were there before we made the changes.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this or if might be a problem with the way we installed it. Thank you in advance for any help anybody might be able give us. |

Hi Marty -
Are you running AIX? Did you install the AIX-specific version of the host programs? Thanks, Peter Schellenbach pjs@asent.com |

Hi Marty -
Can you double check the platform used for the host programs. The platform is stored in the item 'KMTCFG' in the file 'ACCUTERMCTRL' on line 51. It should end in _AIX. If not, RUN FTBP FTCHK and enter the appropriate platform with the _AIX suffix. Answer FTBP for the file name, and "Y" to compile the programs. Repeat for the OBJBP and GUIBP files, is you have installed either of these. Thanks, Pete |

Thank you, we ran FTBP FTCHK and I think we entered the appropriate platform information. It will take a little while to see if the prblem is fixed for sure but it's looking good right now.
Thank you again for your help Marty |

Our problem with saving is back. Everything looked good for a couple of days but unfortunately the problem showed up again this morning. Do you have any other suggestions for us?

Hi Marty -
Are you running from the same account as before, using the same FTBP file? The problem you describe is 99.99% caused by using the non-aix version of the host programs. Thanks, Pete |
