Topic: Migrating from NT4 to 2000 in Accuterm 97Posted: May 26 2004 at 2:11am |

I'd like to move our Accuterm server from one of our few remain NT machines to a Win2000/2003 server. What would be involved? Could I copy the data from the existing machine (if so, what data in what locations) over after I install the latest build of Accuterm? Thanks, I am lost.

Hi Dan -
If you are running AccuTerm on the server, just install it on the new server. Since you are running AccuTerm 97, you should consider upgrading to AccuTerm 2K2, as 97 is technically not supported on XP or Windows 2003. If you are running your MV environment on the NT server, and are moving the MV environment to a new server, then the only part of AccuTerm installed in the MV environment is the host programs. Just reinstall on the new server. If you have the installation files for AccuTerm 97 on the NT server, just copy that folder to the new server. Thanks, Pete |
