After upgrading to AccuTerm 7.1, the WED compile command seems to be changed to "*work All rights reserved. This work is the property of and embodies     *" and after changing it back to BASIC, the change is not saved. Next time opening WED, the compile command is back to the bogus command.

The problem with the compile command in wED is due to a new wED feature - "load keywords & settings from host configuration file". For some unknown reason, this is defaulting to "on" instead of "off". Disable this feature in wED Tools -> Settings -> General. But there is a second problem - you do not have an ACCUTERMCTRL file for your AccuTerm host configuration items (where WED retrieves this host-based configuration from). The fallback for missing the ACCUTERMCTRL file is to use the FTBP file (the way it was done back in the AccuTerm 97 days). The WED configuration record item ID is 'WED', so in the absence of an ACCUTERMCTRL file, WED is reading its own source code and trying to interpret as a configuration file, and grabs part of the copyright text to use as the compile verb. Finally, your host programs themselves are out of date, as invalid configuration records are ignored by the current version, so this would not be a problem if they were up to date.

Thanks,

Pete

Well, duh! As I tell users to follow directions, I should follow my own advice. I've now installed the new versions of the programs to my Accuterm account under D3 & now it works correctly. Sorry to bother you!
