Topic: Lost text from notepadPosted: March 12 2004 at 1:13am |

I use the DOSSVC call to bring up notepad to allow firemen to enter their run statements. I've noticed we lose some text because the users hit RETURN twice quickly. This is causing the "Cancel Window" to cancel before notepad has exited. Is there a way to disable the "Cancel" window or give it a way to ignore spurious input?
I'm also open to other more sure-fire methods. |

Hi -
You do not mention which release of AccuTerm you are using. The latest version of AccuTerm 2K2 delays the status window for a second or two, so if the transfer completes quickly, the status window is never displayed (and the Cancel button as well). Also, there is a sample subroutine, ATINPUTTEXT, supplied with AccuTerm 2K2 that gives you a simple way to enter text in a notepad-like manner, without needing to save the document - just click the OK button when done. Thanks, Pete |
