Topic: Connection freeze-ups with CitrixPosted: March 08 2012 at 8:33am |

I have a customer using 2K2 IE and connecting via Citrix. They report that it can take as many as eight attempts to successfully connect a Telnet session, then once connected, the sessions may soon hang and disconnect. They believe it has to do with the IP address of the Citrix server somehow. Sounds fishy to me, but I know virtually nothing about Citrix. Is this plausible?

Some more info. This is a D3/Linux system. Xinetd.conf is set to unlimited instances and a per source max at 5. I found some history of the problem on this particular system, and once upon a time there was some thought that DNS lookups were problematic. Also, some Windows/IE updates on the Citrix server were implicated. At one time in the past, the local IT guy actually backed out some Windows updates on the Citrix server, but I guess it hasn't helped.
